King River, Strahan Tasmania
This photograph is from my recent trip to Strahan on the West Coast of Tasmania. l got off the bitumen onto the narrow dirt road and ended up driving along the banks of King river. Love taking unplanned side trips which often lead to surprising discoveries.
While exploring the edge of the river I noticed this rounded clump of soil which resembled a small island . From its centre, disproportionally large tree was growing strongly towards the sky, undeterred by its precarious predicament.
To me, this tree symbolises everyday life challenges and struggles we all go trough during the course of our lives. Looking at it I felt an overwhelming feeling of hope and knowledge that despite the challenging circumstances everything will still be OK.
