Lion Rock , South Cape Beach, Tasmania
As I was leaving Cockle Creek for this 16km return hike I was expecting to have hot and challenging day on a track. Interestingly the same day Tasmania recorded yet another heat record. For reaching record march temperatures of over 39 deg C .
I was hoping once I reached South Cape Beach, cool ocean breeze would provide me with some relief and cool me down. However, due to heat wave conditions I was greeted with a dry and very hot wind instead.
